Stage 3 and the race heads south out of Belgium and into France. The finish today is just south of the city of Reims in a town called Éperney. It is not until 42Km’s to go however that the riders will summit the first of 4 categorised climbs on the stage, this will make for a tricky finish as the climbs are on roads through the steep hills connecting the vineyards.

Pick for Unknown Tour today though is an uncategorised climb called Côte du Mont Bernon. It is a farm road through vineyards and averages 6% for its 900m, but that includes 2% for the first couple of hundred meters, then its 9% average with ramps up to 14% near the top. With 4km to go from the summit, a fast twisting descent to bring the riders to 2Km to go, it is going to be a real test.
